It's a long time since I was at a proper funfair. It may have been as long ago as the family's Berlin holidays.Graham Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11196744947133121475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1949425054295660529.post-32655316120930128122016-06-24T18:57:01.658+02:002016-06-24T18:57:01.658+02:00Thank you.Thank you.Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1949425054295660529.post-7776747373805702682016-06-24T07:28:49.915+02:002016-06-24T07:28:49.915+02:00Looks great ! I've already seen his uniform, black trousers and a burgundy jacket. Not the most convenient outfit on a hot summer's day; sometimes they are allowed to be in shirt sleeves when temperatures are very high.Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1949425054295660529.post-13723212681689149782016-06-23T18:11:33.383+02:002016-06-23T18:11:33.383+02:00Oh my! With 1.3 million people around, I would not have wanted to go and watch the parade... but in my hometown with its just about 90.000 inhabitants, such crowds will never happen :-)Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1949425054295660529.post-5399835728494708392016-06-23T17:42:17.257+02:002016-06-23T17:42:17.257+02:00I did the ultimate nerd thing in high school: marc...I did the ultimate nerd thing in high school: marching band! I played the flute. Haha. I always wished I had learned to play the trumpet instead, but by the time I started high school I'd been playing the flute for three or four years already and it was a bit late to change. Does OK still play? I'm afraid I haven't touched a flute since graduation and probably couldn't play a note these days.

I like marching bands, and yours look wonderful.

Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12512800812290518552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1949425054295660529.post-29477372205913403772016-06-23T14:57:44.552+02:002016-06-23T14:57:44.552+02:00I want to write that I think I like the marching b...I want to write that I think I like the marching bands best in parades but realize I have wanted to write "I like this best" about everything you've posted about the parade! (Except perhaps the tractors.)

Yesterday, in downtown Cleveland, we had a parade for our basketball team's winning the NBA championships. One point three million people were said to be there. One of my sons in law was. You could not have paid me enough money to be there! I'm thrilled that they won, but am not a crowd person!Thickethouse.wordpresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17187303460677067276noreply@blogger.com
