All the walking and sights, the chocolate and the owls! Remember my post about AWARE, they have owls and other birds that they also display, but they do so only because the animals cannot be released back into the wild, usually because of an injury. I have no idea if that was the case with those owls that you saw, but it could be a possibility.
(And I bet John would tell you that the Postbox is quite old, it is Victorian...I think that is right, it looks like a "V" entwined inside an "R"...Victoria Regina....but I am sure that you know that already!)
YAY that Germany won the World Cup! :-)Kay G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07228498846814735537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1949425054295660529.post-89783548555995566202014-07-14T21:58:14.470+02:002014-07-14T21:58:14.470+02:00That's true! In my ex-husband's small village, most buildings look pretty much the same, but people give them an individual touch by the colour of the wooden shutters, plants on their balconies etc.Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1949425054295660529.post-48516514368976739132014-07-14T16:02:22.736+02:002014-07-14T16:02:22.736+02:00Oh I remember that museum well, could have spent t...Oh I remember that museum well, could have spent the whole day there. It's funny about getting to the top and having to pay a fee, good for you that you didn't fall for it. These pictures are so beautiful to look at, as I Always say, they remind me of the English classics and the British way of life. So pretty. Here in Sicily the buildings don't really have any shape, they're square or rectangular. Although in Trapani the attractiveness of the building lies in the balconies. Most old buildings in Trapani belonged to barons, counts etc. so the entrances and balconies are really pretty. The baglios in the countryside are also characteristic, but otherwise, buildings are just simple and plain, and one or two floors high.Saucy Sicilianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10044337117600868975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1949425054295660529.post-40435102599981377372014-07-14T15:20:09.533+02:002014-07-14T15:20:09.533+02:00It is one of the best museums I know!It is one of the best museums I know!Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1949425054295660529.post-47573673562749932462014-07-14T13:50:08.368+02:002014-07-14T13:50:08.368+02:00The Castle Museums sounds very interesting! The Castle Museums sounds very interesting!DawnTreaderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04533307672147117843noreply@blogger.com
