- - - Update 06.11.2012, 12.47: the giveaway has ended - - -
My Mum suggested I do another giveaway on my blog, and I like her idea, so, here goes:
- If you leave a comment to this post, your name enters the drawing once.
- If you are (or become) a follower to my blog, you get a 2nd entry, increasing your chances to win.
- If you mention my giveaway on your blog and link to it, you get - surprise, surprise! - a 3rd entry.
Wait a minute, I hear you say; what's the prize?
The winner has free choice of a hand-knitted item by my Mum, out of the ones she has on offer in her Etsy Shop.
The giveaway ends on Tuesday, the 6th of November, at noon German time.
My Mum wrote about her knitting some time ago on my blog; you can read her guest post here.
Now, let the fun begin :-)
Yes please!
ReplyDeleteThat's two entries for you, Frances.
DeleteI upset a rhino
ReplyDeleteThat you and I know
By saying it was verminous.
How was I to know
That that rhino
Was thin skinned
As well as pachiderminous.
Graham, two entries for you - although I am tempted to give you an extra one for creativity :-) (But it would be unfair towards everyone else, since I never said anything about it in the terms & conditions...)
DeleteI would love some socks! Shall be updating my blog either later today, or tomorrow (depending how the time goes) and will give your giveaway a mention for sure!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joanne, that makes three entries for you!
DeleteSchnee vor Ende Oktober? Allerhand. Wird euer Winter kalt werden? was sagt die Bauernregel?
ReplyDeleteAus dem give-away schliesse mich ruhig aus, ich habe ja schone mal gewonnen, das waere wohl etwas zu greedy. Was heisst greedy auf Neu-deutsch?
Uebrigens, Atrial Fibrillation is Vorhofflattern or -flimmern.
Gib mir einfach Bescheid :-)
Haven't had much time to read blogs lately, and so didn't comment on your super snow photos. I particularly like the nighttime one with the snowflakes in front. And yes, please, enter me in your drawing. Your mother's things are beautiful. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou're in with two entries :-)
DeleteGlad you like the pictures! I was curious as to what the picture taken at near-darkness would turn out like, and think the result is quite nice.
Dear Meike,
ReplyDeleteOh! How wonderful! You can't count my comment here because I have already won a pair of handknitted socks made by your wonderful MUM! This is just to say...the socks are so soft and colorful and so perfectly made. Whoever will win this giveaway, you are in for a TREAT!
Dear Kay, Friko is of the same opinion, but I don't see why the winners from former giveaways should be excluded. And only because you have one pair of socks from my Mum doesn't mean you can't have two... or three... or more :-) Maybe Richard or Christopher would like a pair as well!
DeleteYay! I love giveaways!
ReplyDeleteTwo entries for you, Sonia!
DeleteLovely warm socks that are cool! Creativity obviously runs in your family.
ReplyDeleteWould you say I am creative, Patsy? Maybe not with my hands, since I can't knit and don't do any kind of handcrafting. Anyway, two entries for you.
DeleteHi. I've just dropped in from Joanne's blog (A Zigzag Road) and am now following. Lovely, colourful socks! Just the thing for keeping the writerly tootsies warm.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my blog, Christine! You have two entries now.
DeleteI would love socks knitted by your lovely mother! I'm already following. I'm going to try the linking thing.
ReplyDeleteThree entries for you, Norma :-)
DeleteOh, GB, as you might see- I have not been able to link my photo to my blog yet. What's up with that?
ReplyDeleteWell, I do love socks from your mother. They are just great, warm and beautiful and well made. So I'm in as you don't seem to think it is greedy! But I don't know how to link although I could and would mention her shop and write the address if I won.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this excellent feedback, Kristi! There'll be two pieces of paper with your name on them :-)
DeleteI feel greedy putting my name down, as I already knit socks, Meike, but I really love those sneaker socks. :-)
ReplyDeleteNo need to feel greedy, I'll put your name in twice; and if you don't win, you can always order them from my Mum's Etsy shop the normal way :-)
DeleteI've been out and about today and just now logging on to the computer and see I'm already 26 down on your list of interested readers.
ReplyDeleteYour Mum's work is lovely and anyone (me certainly included!) would love to have a gift from her shop.
Two entries for you, Jill. And you know, it doesn't matter at all how many comments are there before you; the drawing has nothing to do with when each of the participants commented :-) Even if someone enters on the 6th of November, just before the drawing, they'll have the same chances.
DeleteHi there, I'm already a follower of yours, love your blog! I've been admiring those pretty socks your mom makes, count me in!
ReplyDeleteDorothy
Hi Dorothy, your name will be on two pieces of paper :-)
DeleteI came over from "Georgia Girl with an English Heart" and had to try my luck! I'll follow too! I loved what you did with the owl squares..that blanket was adorable!
ReplyDeleteHello yaya, welcome to my blog, and two entries for you!
DeleteBy the way, it was Kay ("Georgia Girl") who posted about the owl blanket, not me.
Hello, another Georgia Girl follower who wants to broaden her reading to include you!
ReplyDeleteYour mother's knitting looks fabulous, i'm glad to have her Etsy link, too.
Hello messymimi, and welcome to my blog!
DeleteYou'll have two entries in the drawing, too.
My Mum will be pleased to see her Etsy shop getting a bit more attention :-)
Hi Meiki, I heard about you from Georgia Girl. I knit too, but not as good as you! I've just learned spinning, which I enjoy very much.
ReplyDeleteHi Terry, I can't knit at all - it's my Mum who makes such beautiful things out of wool :-)
DeleteLovely! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome :-)
DeleteHello! I'm here via Joanne Fox's blog! I was very excited about the possibility of winning some lovely, warm socks, but I have a feeling if I live in the USA, that's too far away??
ReplyDeleteHello Becky, no, you are not too far away; my previous giveaways were also won by readers from the US, and of course I sent them their prize :-)
DeleteP.S. Even if I can't be in the drawing, I'll still become your follower.....because I like your blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you, and welcome to my blog! Your name will be in the drawing - twice!
