More Streets of Cannobio

After we had crossed the foot bridge you saw in my previous post, all we had to do was walk round the park and we were back in Cannobio.
The entire walk had not taken us very long, and we were not yet in need of a rest. So we walked around the town some more and wound our way back to the hotel slowly through some of the narrow streets we had not yet explored.
(As before, photos are a mix of mine and O.K.'s.)

We changed into clothes better suited for a restaurant visit later, and before we left, I took another picture from our patio. The rain clouds were still/again very present, but there was no more rain the whole evening and night, as far as I remember.

Tomorrow, Saturday, was already going to be our last day, as we were to leave on Sunday.

  1. Interesting to explore the backstreets of Cannobio. but looking at some of the photos I think being there might have triggered some claustrophobia in me!I liked the last three better. I wonder if you would ever go to Venice...I know it is very touristy, but those twisty back ways are not full of people, I think. They can be challenging to not get lost. Do you or O.K. speak Italian?

    1. I am fluent in Italian, not quite as fluent as I am in English, but I close.
Venice has so far not been on my wish list, but who knows - never say never! My Mum and sister have been there years ago and greatly enjoyed their visit.
I know what you mean about some of the narrow streets being claustrophobic! Living so close to one's neighbours is also a bit of a challenge, I imagine.

  3. I'm sorry, Meike, but I had to smile "but there was no more rain the whole evening and night, as far as I remember." I don't think that the weather would have been in my thoughts either.

    1. :-) The weather is only memorably when it directly affects me. I would have remembered if we had got soaked through on our way home, I think!
