Some Autumn Colours

October was mostly a good month here with plenty of sunshine and little rain. The pictures in this post were all taken with my phone, and therefore are a bit of a mix, not all from the same day or situation, but I still wanted to share them with you.

October 2, early afternoon near O.K.'s village:

October 12, 7:45 on my way to work, on the footbridge at Ludwigsburg's railway station. This beautiful sunrise was a lot more impressive in reality, but I guess you'll get the idea:

October 14, hiking with O.K. between vineyards and the Black Forest, starting at around 4:00 pm:

As you can tell, it was a long hike - a little longer than planned, but I enjoyed every minute of it! The next picture was taken just after 7:00 pm:

It was really dark by the time we reached the car again. This is the view towards Offenburg from where we were walking, at 8:00 pm:

October 17, at around 6:30 pm, walking home from work across the fields:

October 30, just after lunch, back at O.K.'s:

You have already seen some of these (or very similar) views on my blog, but they are never exactly the same, and I just can't get enough of them.

  1. A lovely photo-journal (or selection!), Meike. Good times, by the look of it. Love the colour and light on the vines.

    1. The view across Ludwigsburg's railway station is certainly not the most picturesque sight in the world, but that sky was just irresistible!

  3. It's so good that O.K. also enjoys walking and the natural therapy that the countryside provides.

    1. It is! We are also on almost the same level of fitness, so that it does not happen that one of us is exhausted hours before the other one feels like taking a break.

  4. Lovely autumn colours and sunsets. We have just about no colours left here now... Well, a bit of evergreen I suppose! - but we also got the first snow today... The wet and slushy kind rather than the light and fluffy...

    1. No snow here yet, at least not in my area! It was rather cold and windy this past weekend, but for mid-week much wilder weather is foreacst - up to 18 Celsius in O.K.'s area on Thursday, and maybe up to 13 here.
There is still a lot of colour about, with red berries the hedges and golden leaves, beautiful!
