Yorkshire Day

The 1st of August is Yorkshire Day, so: Happy Yorkshire Day to all my readers in Yorkshire or those who have some connection or other to that beautiful county!

In true style, I am having Yorkshire Tea from my brand new Fountains Abbey mug. The Yorkshire Life magazine is an old one, a souvenir brought home a few years ago, and I only added it to the picture for decoration. The fox is the portrait of a true Yorkshire fox by the name of Fred who used to roam the back gardens of Sheffield, masterfully captured here by Neil aka Yorkshire Pudding.

My posts about the remaining days of our Yorkshire holiday will probably resume tomorrw; today is my first day back at work, and so I do not have time to write more than the few lines you are reading right now.

    1. Thank you, Ellen! Yes, I am busy, but some of my clients were/are on holiday (or going soon), so that I am not too stressed out yet.

    1. I'm showing as anonymous again. Why? TaskerD.

    2. Perhaps it is because Tasker Dunham does not exist. It's just a pseudonym because you are understandably fearful of revealing your true identity.

    3. Done that yesterday (ironing).
As for your question, why you are showing as anonymous again - no idea. I just know it keeps happening to many bloggers.

  3. Yorkshire should be a country in its own right. After all our population is bigger than New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, Scotland or Norway.. Happy Yorkshire Day Meike!

    1. Thank you, Neil!
I'm glad it is not a country in its own right. After the Eurostar chaos last Saturday, I have quite enough of border controls for a while.

  4. What happened to your holiday? It was over before it started. I've not read much over the last few weeks so have a huge amount of catching up to do.

    1. Well, it was a full two weeks, and as always after having been away, in some respects it felt much longer as we packed so much into it.
In terms of blogging, I still have some catching up to do myself.
